I am replying to your letter of the 19th May to Fitzgerald, who has now gone off to Kenya.

I h ve sent to the Admiralty the documents which you enclosed about the loss of your two steaners, 3.s. "Tai Hing" and "Kinshan" and have asked them to reply to you direct.

I have mentioned that you would like to have returned to you the press cuttings about the hand Ing-over ceremony of the "Tai Hing".

I understand from the Admiralty that it may be some little time before they will be able to give you an answer on this matter.
